“Take good care of your body - it’s the only place you have to live” Jim Rohn

I was initiated into the Usui system of Reiki in 1995.  In 2001 I undertook a Reiki Energy Mastery course and was initiated into several other forms of Reiki: Karuna, Seichem, Seichim, and the original 7 degree system Raku Kei.

What is Reiki?

Rei - universal or spiritual and Ki - life force (also known as Qi or Chi)

Reiki - pronounced Ray-key, is a system of natural hands-on healing that promotes the body’s regenerative self healing ability, facilitating a state of balance and well being. The word Reiki means Universal Energy - the energy that flows in and around every living being.  The Reiki practitioner is a channel for the energy and it is directed through the hands to wherever it is needed.  It is a non invasive therapy that can be used with confidence.

What are the benefits?
With regular use Reiki has a myriad of benefits physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Generally people feel less stressed, more energised, and more able to focus. Reiki can be life changing, the beginning of a journey of self discovery and connection with inner wisdom.  Reiki can be used to help any condition, whether it be physical or emotional

Relieves stress or tension, headaches, and asthma
Promotes relaxation
Increases energy levels
Relieves physical illness or injury
Strengthens immune system
Clears energy blockages
Helps concentration and focus
Promotes a state of balance
Accelerates the healing of physical problems
Balances the emotions
Aids a closer connection with “inner wisdom”

Most people report they feel deeply relaxed with a feeling of wellbeing after treatment.
Some people feel incredibly relaxed and sleepy; others feel ‘lighter’, more energised and motivated.  Each Reiki session is different because we are in a state of constant change.  It is not uncommon for people to become so relaxed they don’t want to move after the treatment.

Although Reiki cannot promise to effect a cure, it can certainly help, both physically and emotionally.  Often physical problems are affected by emotional issues and the emotional issue may need addressing more directly before physical relief is felt.  In the case of terminal illness, there may not be enough time for the physical disease to be reversed.  However there are usually considerable benefits which give a sense of peace during the time remaining.

One session of Reiki can make a difference.  However a course of regular treatments may be more effective. Sessions will be arranged at a frequency to suit your needs and adjusted according to your progress.
